Wow! "Made in Beilun" was featured in the September 3 military parade
2025-09-04

"Look!

Many of the motors

embedded in these weapons

were manufactured by our company."

On September 3,

during the National Day military parade,

new military equipment made its debut.

In the office of a company in Beilun,

there was an atmosphere of overwhelming joy.

Ningbo NIDE Tech Co., Ltd.

(hereinafter referred to as NIDE)

Chairman Lin Qifa

stared at the parade video on his phone,

sharing his pride with his family

while receiving more good news:

the company had secured a batch of new orders,

with production schedules already booked through next year.

This "double celebration"

was not a matter of luck, but the strength

NIDE has forged by taking root in Beilun.

In the electric motor industry, many small and medium-sized enterprises are dedicated to maintaining a "one-meter-wide" focus and cultivating a "100-meter-deep" specialization, honing their "internal strengths" within specific niche markets—a strategy that has become their key to survival.

However, as a major producer of electric motors, China faces intense competition in the general-purpose motor sector, with severe "internal competition" in niche industries, resulting in an industry that is large but not strong.

The key to breaking free from "internal competition" lies in "endogenous growth." While maintaining "100-meter-deep" technical expertise, NIDE took an unconventional approach from its inception by targeting a "10,000-meter-wide" market.

As one of the first companies in China's motor industry to expand overseas, NIDE first "went global" through its services, then gradually established production lines domestically, steadily aligning its services and technology with global standards.

Seventy-three invention patents stand as a testament to the company's repeated, innovative, and arduous explorations.

Motors have hundreds of application scenarios, covering nearly every aspect of daily life. Among these, the speed of after-sales service has become a critical indicator for enhancing customer loyalty.

To this end, through years of strategic planning, NIDE has established 12 overseas offices and 5 international after-sales service centers worldwide, achieving a 24-hour on-site response within China and a 48-hour global response. Annually, the engineering team travels a distance equivalent to circling the globe twice.

However, NIDE's true "secret weapon" lies in its customizable, full-range equipment and comprehensive solutions.

In 2020, the German factory of a well-known global company encountered a challenge with its motor equipment that no manufacturer could resolve.

Upon learning of this, NIDE dispatched a technical team to the site, where they discovered that the motors produced within the client's existing proprietary technology framework could not achieve the required high "slot fill rate."

While this requirement seemed simple, for an established technology, it was akin to "squeezing water from a dry towel." Other manufacturers believed that achieving such standards would require innovative technical solutions.

Within a limited timeframe, very few companies—both domestic and international—were capable of meeting this requirement.

At this critical juncture, the experience gained from serving over 500 renowned domestic and international enterprises became a "moat" for the company; its accumulated library of thousands of solutions covered virtually every global challenge in motor equipment.

Ultimately, NIDE began by focusing on a key indicator—the "winding structure"—meticulously dissecting the problem layer by layer through meticulous design, and ultimately achieved a maximum improvement in motor efficiency.

Given Europe's overwhelming technological lead at the time, this became a rare example of China exporting its motor equipment technology overseas. "NIDE's technology has shown us advanced solutions from China," said the head of the company's German factory.

Shifting from "waging price wars behind closed doors" to "pursuing innovation with a global perspective," the strategic approach proposed by NIDE has become a new path for the industry to break through, prompting many peers to begin expanding into overseas markets.

Currently, NIDE's motor equipment is already being used in aerospace, robotics, drones, and shipbuilding, and its output value is expected to maintain double-digit growth over the next two years.
